Trinity Square has reached a milestone by fundraising for a local children’s charity.
Trinity Square adopted Tiny Lives and the Special Care Baby Unit at the RVI in Newcastle as its nominated charity in 2016 and, since then, has been actively fundraising and supporting the charity through events in the Square.
The most recent of those events was Trinity Square’s 10th Birthday Party and family fun day in May, which raised just over £1000 for Tiny Lives, bringing the total raised to almost £21,000.
Centre Manager Tony Pickering, retiring this month after ten years at Trinity Square, proudly handed the cheque to Tiny Lives Community and Events Fundraiser Louise Carroll.
Tony said: “It’s been an absolute pleasure to support this fantastic charity over the last few years, and we’re so grateful to all of our shoppers, visitors, tenant businesses and staff who have all helped us reach this target amount.
“We’re looking forward to reaching the next milestone amount and continuing to work with Louise and her colleagues. We’ve seen the real difference they make to families with special care babies, and it’s an honour to play a small part in that.”
