We met ten-year-old Phoebe Pace last summer ahead of the World Transplant Games in NewcastleGateshead and took this inspirational young lady to our hearts.
Phoebe was diagnosed with liver failure as a one-year-old baby and underwent a liver transplant which saved her life. She now competes as part of Team GB in the World Transplant Games and also in the British Transplant Games.
Phoebe and her family live in Gateshead, and at our Christmas Lights, Switch On event last November our Centre Manager Tony Pickering pledged to fundraise for Phoebe and help cover costs for her travel to the 2021 World Transplant Games in Texas.
One of our first events in our 2020 calendar is giving us the ideal opportunity to do just that. On 26th March, we will have a charity firewalk in the Square and the places allocated to Trinity Square will be used to kick start the fundraising effort.
Anyone interested in taking part in the firewalk can contact the marketing team via email: marketing@trinitysquaregateshead.com.
