Safe, comfortable periods are a right, not a luxury.
Trinity Square is proud to support ‘Package for Milly’ in Gateshead. From July, visitors to Trinity Square can ask any member of our on-site customer services, security or cleaning staff for a discreet envelope of period products, including a bag for disposal, no questions asked.
Who is behind ‘Package for Milly’?
The project, in partnership with Hey Girls has been introduced to help address period poverty across the UK, something thought to affect up to one in three girls and women in the North East.
Asking for a “Package for Milly” is an initiative running across a number of UK shopping centres and venues to provide free, essential menstrual products to anyone who needs them.
Sharron Ashurst, Centre Manager at Trinity Square, said: “No one should have to worry about basic period products. We’re delighted to be rolling our Package for Milly and we hope will make a real difference to anyone who needs it.”
Visitors can collect a ‘Package for Milly’ from any member of the Trinity Square team.
