It’s been a whole 12 months since Trinity Square in Gateshead hosted its first One Great Day event to raise funds for Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital and Tiny Lives Trust at the RVI in Newcastle.
Since then, Trinity Square has adopted Tiny Lives as its nominated charity and has continued to raise money and support this local good cause on a regular basis.
This year’s One Great Day event promised to build on the success of last year and hoped to top the £613 raised. Guess what…? We did it!!
Hundreds of people from our local community turned out to support the event and enjoy a fantastic day of family fun and entertainment.
We had face painting, arts and crafts for the younger ones, deckchairs in the sun and live music for the older ones. Characters from Peter Pan sold raffle tickets and showed the crowd some breakdancing moves while the 9ft female stilt walker and hoop performer wowed the crowds.
It was a great day, and together we raised a fantastic £890 for the two charities.
A huge thank you to everyone who made this event so successful from the performers and entertainers to the volunteers and retailers who donated raffle prizes – we couldn’t have done it without you!
