Gateshead Mayor Cllr Jill Green called into Trinity Square, Gateshead this lunchtime to see the work of South Tyneside NHS Foundation Trust in the community first hand.
The Trust has been exhibiting today in Trinity Square to raise awareness of sexual health, equality and diversity issues in the heart of the local community.
Mayor Green met with representatives from Trinity Square’s student halls, sexual health and student health teams as well as Tesco Pharmacy. She said: “I think this is a valuable message to put out there that the students and residents of Gateshead have all of these facilities on their doorstep including the sexual health clinic and the community pharmacy. We have a diverse age range and diverse community here in Gateshead, and I am proud to be here today to help raise awareness.”
