Imagine that you make the rules and you invent the limits. What would your place (Town, City, Village, Home, Street, Square…) be like in 100 years’ time? What would have changed? What would remain? Who would be in charge? What would matter? What would happen? What would your town look, smell, sound, taste, or feel like? How would you travel? Where would you live? What would you do?
Alternative Futures is a new participatory arts project that will invite people from Gateshead, Newcastle and Sunderland to work with artists, musicians, writers and poets from the region to explore and design an alternative future. The pieces created at workshops and with community groups will form part of a touring regional exhibition which will culminate in a celebratory event at Thought Foundation in late Spring.
Trinity Square has joined forces with Alternative Futures to arrange an event at Trinity Square during the half term holiday.
Trinity Square Tuesday 19 February, 11am-3pm
