Frankie & Benny’s Review

A couple of weeks ago Frankie & Benny’s unleashed their new lunch menu into the hands of the hungry public, and I was invited down to go and try it out.

On arrival the attentive and amiable staff welcomed us. They showed my girlfriend and I to a booth straight away and presented us with the lunch menu. A first glance at the menu showed it to be great value, especially for students. Starters were £2.50, mains ranged from £5.95 to £7.95, and desserts were only £2.50.

After a further perusal of the lunch menu we were straight onto ordering our starter of dough balls with a garlic dip. This was a delicious way to start off the meal. To follow the starter we ordered our mains, the Goat’s Cheese Ranch Salad and the Salt Beef Bagel, as recommended by our waitress. It’s safe to say that these recommendations did not disappoint, as we were both thoroughly impressed with our delightful main courses.

By this point we were beginning to feel so full that we couldn’t move, but somehow we still made room for dessert. My girlfriend went all in with the Brownies and Ice Cream whilst I played it safe with 3 scoops of ice cream, one vanilla, one strawberry and one blueberry.

As with many of the businesses in the haven of Trinity Square, good service and low prices are common place, and Frankie & Benny’s was no exception. Whether it is to recover from the night before or to celebrate finishing your exams, their new lunch menu is a great way to treat yourself for less.
