Gateshead-based shopping and leisure complex Trinity Square is counting down to Christmas and putting the finishing touches to plans for a spectacular Christmas Light Switch On event next month.
Trinity Square has joined forces with Heart North East to deliver an afternoon of free family entertainment to get everyone in the Christmas spirit head of the Square’s official Christmas lights switch on.
Taking place on Thursday 23rd November from 4.00pm until 6.30pm, the event will include performances from Low Fell-based Britain’s Got Talent finalist Jamie Lee Harrison, North East Contemporary Pop Songstress Channy and five-piece girl band MELODY 5. Students from Gateshead College will also take part and showcase their talents.
Heart North East’s breakfast presenters Justin and Kelly will host the event and provide the official countdown to the switch on. There will also be a few surprises on the night and special guests who will make an appearance and pose for photographs with the crowd.
Centre Manager Tony Pickering, said: “This is the biggest night of the year for us here at Trinity Square, it’s the culmination of several months of planning and preparation and we always look to build on the success of each night year on year.
“As always, it’s really important to us that we can showcase local talent and we’re delighted with the line up we have in place and to be working with partner Heart North East again this year.”
